MME Students Present "High School Musical JR"

The 2026 Spring Musical, High School Musical JR., is playing at Minnetonka Middle School East beginning Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, March 14.

About the musical High School Musical JR.
Class is back in session and the gang at East High will never be the same again thanks to this Broadway, Jr. edition of the musical sensation that swept the nation.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well

The show’s infectious, danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike. Featuring memorable songs such as “We’re All In This Together,” “Getcha Head In The Game,” and “Bop To The Top," High School Musical JR. tells the story full of love, friends, and family while balancing expectations.

In addition to the 78 talented 6th, 7th and 8th grade actors, more than 40 MME students participate in student direction, set design, sound and lights, and stage crews to bring this production to life.
