Minnetonka Community Education to Host Firecracker Run on July 4

All are invited to enjoy scenic terrain, including stunning views of historic downtown Excelsior and Lake Minnetonka, as part of the Firecracker Run 1 Mile, 5K or 10K route. With rest stops, live music and plenty of enthusiastic volunteers along the way, runners can expect a fun-filled Fourth of July morning with the annual Firecracker Run.

Visit https://tinyurl.com/EXFirecracker2022 or call (952) 401-6800 to learn more about the Excelsior Firecracker Run, to register as a runner or to volunteer.

The Firecracker Run raises money to support the Excelsior Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce July 4 Fireworks and kicks off a full day of festivities in downtown Excelsior that includes a kid's parade, popsicle social and, of course, fireworks.

Minnetonka Community Education coordinates the Excelsior Firecracker running events. Thirty percent of the proceeds from the Firecracker Running events are donated by Minnetonka Community Education to the Chamber of Commerce for the Excelsior Fourth of July Fireworks display.

Without the help of our wonderful volunteers, the Fourth of July Excelsior Firecracker Run would not be possible. Our volunteers help with registration and packet pick up, parking and directing the runners on the routes (corner guards). We are in need of volunteers. All volunteers also receive an event t-shirt. Visit https://tinyurl.com/EXFCVolunteer to learn more about volunteering for this event.
